    What Does The Oximeter Show?

    The Oximeter will show you:

    1. Blood Oxygen Level (SpO2): This is the oxygen monitor measurement that tells you what percentage of blood is saturated.

    2. Pulse Rate (Bpm); The heart rate that indicates the number of times a heart beats per minute.

    3. Pulse Strength - Indicates how accurate the reading is. The stronger the pulse the more accurate the read.

How Do I Prepare For A Pulse Oximetry Test?

Nail varnish or false nails can block the light and affect the reading. So we recommend removing varnish on at least your index finger so you can  get an accurate result.

    Features:

Low Power Consumption - The Oximeter is powered with two AAA batteries, and it automatically powers off, preventing the battery from being drained.

Portable & Lightweight - The Oximeter only weighs 70 grams and comes with a lanyard so it can easily be carried.

Suitable For All Ages - Smart design allows for a range of finger sizes to fit into the finger chamber, designed with latex free silicone material. The finger oximeter is suitable for all ages, from children to the elderly. In homes, hospitals and social medical institutions, you can use this device to measure health data.

    HOW IT WORKS

A pulse oximeter measures how much light is absorbed by your blood. This tells us how much oxygen your blood contains.

The pulse oximeter shines 2 lights through your fingertip or earlobe: one red light and one infrared light.

Blood containing lots of oxygen absorbs more infrared light and lets more red light pass through it.

Blood without enough oxygen absorbs more red light and lets more infrared light pass through it.

If your blood cells do not have enough oxygen, they will appear bluer.

    HOW TO USE

Correct usage is key to a trustworthy reading, however, which can fluctuate based on a number of factors — what you are doing physically (sitting versus running), proper device placement and the altitude you live at.

Our ART-1 has excellent accuracy of +-2% detecting SpO2 from 70%-99%

Artificial nails and nail polish, especially gel-based, can produce inaccurate measurements of SpO₂, as they block the light transmission. Cold hands or poor circulation can also interfere with the light and produce false numbers, because pulse oximeters need a steady flow of blood beneath the sensor.

    Why use an Oximeter?

Your blood oxygen level indicates how much oxygen your red blood cells are carrying.

High blood oxygenation plays an essential role in ensuring that your muscles, brain and other organs receive the energy they need to function properly.

That’s why it’s so important to understand how to measure your current oxygen level—and determine whether it falls within an acceptable range.
